Timber Gantry Range - 1:43.5 Scale (7mm:1')

The Timber Gantry range provides an excellent basis for a model timber yard or workshop. 

This gantry design is based on one used in the Brynllywarch Estate sawmill that was served by the Kerry Tramway in Montgomeryshire in the early 20th century.  The gantry structure was constructed from timber balks and was very much a homemade affair.  No details of the winch and trolley exist so the winch and log grab designs are based on products made by Herbert Morris of Loughborough.

The base Timber Gantry Kit includes a full two bay gantry, carriage, trolley and lifting equipment.  The gantry length can be extended using additional side beams and supports. The support posts can also be varied with different options of post bracing available.
