This highly detailed Pulley Block and Bottom Block Set is based on a chain operated prototype manufactured by Herbert Morris of Loughborough. Used for general lifting in almost any industry and application these parts add a really authentic detail to to any layout or diorama.

What's in the Kit

The kit comprises a top Pulley Block, Bottom Block with pulley and hook and a Timber Grab.

Features

The Timber Grab included in the set has rigid chains and these are manufactured as one piece with the grab.

The assembly tasks required are to attached both chains and then position as required in your layout or diorama.

Materials and Finishes

All components apart from the two chains are made from durable grey SLA resin and are supplied unpainted for you to finish to match your model period and location.

Both the operator's chain and the lifting chain are supplied in chemically blackened brass.

Background

Herbert Morris Ltd were a major manufacturer of all sorts of lifting equipment and this set is based on one of their many worm-gear pulley blocks. This 2 chain Type No.180 block had a capacity of around 4 tons.
