Timber Gantry - Support Post Kit + Side Brace - 1:43.5 Scale (7mm:1')

The kit includes the vertical post with integral side brace and a separate supporting cross beam. These require simple adhesive assembly. See the main kit instructions for more details.

This post is intended to be used anywhere along the length of a gantry assembly, where two running beams meet end-on. The post is braced laterally - across the gantry and is non-handed.

This component is made from durable grey SLA resin and is supplied unpainted for you to finish to match your model period and location. 

The gantry is based on one used on the Brynllywarch Estate sawmill that was served by the Kerry Tramway in Montgomeryshire in the early 20th century.  The main structure was constructed from timber balks and was very much a homemade affair. The details on this post reflect local construction - timber from the sawmill and blacksmith-made bolts and washers.
